Never mind that our generation has come to grips with the fact that pretty much everything we consume is mass-produced, French-born leather jewelry designer Delphine Pontvieux recognizes that there is an ever-growing demand and newfound respect for the truly unique and handmade. From the very beginning, she has chosen to cater to these discerning people, those who appreciate the beauty and quality of a handmade object. Every NYET piece of leather jewelry or accessory is designed and handmade by her in her Chicago workshop, with love, patience, and the individual attention they deserve, with carefully selected hides, eco-friendly dyes, and hardware that are made to last. Pontvieux is a bit of a Renaissance woman: in addition to her jewelry art, she is also a painter, a published author, as well as a movie and TV performer. In her free time, she loves to scuba dive and longs to travel around the world again as soon as the pandemic is over.
