Digging in my toolbox, as I work and play with a new day, I find “art” right there at the top, one of my “go-to” tools, like that screwdriver that I keep handy and have multiple, creative, uses for. It’s been a reliable tool all my life. For me art has been an expression of inspiration and a path to inspiration. In this way, I look to art, in all its forms, and its inspiration, to be a constant reminder of just how Spirit moves in the world as it moves in me.

Fascinated by art at an early age, it spoke to me in an organic way. My earliest memories, almost dreamlike, are filled with feelings, colors, sounds, dances between light and movement, all around me, their design, and the relationship of it all and with me. My relationship to art being that its living energy, living in me, and very much Alive! Whether its visual, music, the written word, storytelling, movement, nature, and all creativity that finds its way into our world, it is that expression, Life, manifesting that has always inspired me. It served me well at the peak of light and love filled moments as well as when I waded deep in the dark places. It reached my soul and spoke its language wherever I traveled in my life journey.

In art, my soul remembered the truth of Spirit. It remembered the qualities of Spirit that could lift me with strength and courage, that revealed the glory of beauty and genius beyond this world, that embodied the multi-dimensions of my soul, and mirrored reflections of my fellow man, enlightening me with perhaps, a little more understanding of the brilliance that exists in humanity and dwells in our world. Art was a free and clear path of inspiration that led me back to the Source, to Spirit, unqualified by mind, merely an experience. It is one handy tool, I use daily to make my way in the world, observing, experiencing, relating, living, and discovering time and time again my deepest Love for Life…inspired living, yes, the Art of Living.
